Can you tell us how much more these components weigh as compared to the stock s2 brake parts?

I`ll try to weight them as soon they come off to refit the ABY subframe and repaint all the other stuff there.

But about the shock absorber tubes i think they will hold, a problem could be heat. But i guess only time will tell in this case.

heat with breaks that big,you may have problems keeping them hot i nuff, but if they should run too hot, then you could buy the disc´s from quattro gmbh fore the rs4,they are drilled 380mm.

Yeah, what's the latest on this setup? How has it performed in real life? What pads have you got in there? Where did you get 8-pot Brembos from in the first place? Very interesting!

Very nice write up. It is great to see all the options for brakes on this forum. Gives a person a lot of options to go with.

Ok first of all, the brakes are finally on, just got back from MOT wich is also new as we speak with sidepipe

The calipers are from an new E55AMG the 8pots. And offcourse i sourced the pads also from a local merc dealer where a friend of mine works.

                            The brackets are homemade.

The discs are for now RS4 ones, the 360mm x 32mm.

                            Wheels are rs4 18" immi.

All togheter a nice combo, and the brake performance is outstanding and great.
The weather over here is really terrible so i only got to test them in the wet and i know now that the ABS is also working at 160 km/h

The pedal travel is a bit longer then with stock brackes but now i am able to brake with my toes. And there is much more feel in the pedal now.
I guess you have to like this.

Maybe i have to change my master cilinder when i`m gonna fit some funky rear brakes in the near future to balance it a bit more and make it look nicer. Now it looks like ive got no brakes on the back.

But for now i`m really happy with my new setup.

                            Cheers,

                            Cees

You didn't engrave "quattro" on them then?

                                not yet corey

I spend to much time now on setting up the engine right so i guess things like engraving and make everyting look nice will come next year.
